Me too! I wish I could have you fix it. I have to check the price on some parts and then I want to talk to a few friends who might be willing to work on it for me. I really want to up-grade it if possible when I fix it. lol

You can see a pair of slip on moccs my mountainman buddy made and gave me,they are tight goin on but stretch to fit and are thin but rugged,i think Elk if i remember right.I always thought if they had some wool socks sewed to them, you would have mocc-a-socks and be easier to put on but could be made more to size.Hangin on the right side of the shelf.

Nice collection there TM. Think my new grandson may not have so quickly lost one of his moccs had I made some attached ribbing. Some good ideas from you.. thanks again and always, always a pleasure to see your pics and comments! thanks.
Liza, arranged a spinning outing with my fiber mentor from the past! Also heard that my neighbor who wants me to give a spinning demo to a whole bunch of homeschooled kids has saved a bunch of his lambs wool to take to a place called Frankenmuth to have processed.. man.. that will be great to have lambswool all processed into roving to spin.
Congrats on the new acquisition of Icelandics. I know where there are some.. the lady I got the Traveler wheel raises them in Midland.. Lavender Fleece farm her place is called.. NEAT looking breed.. I would like some more of each Shetland and Icelandics.. probably better to stick to one or the other.. I know people can frown on mixing em up.. they do taste great on your dinner table regardless.. Lamb was always a choice on our family table, especially around Easter time. I love lamb and mashed potatoes and gravy.. you're making me hungry now! well anyway, isn't it great to see your daughters spinning and knitting.. is very satisfying to me to see this talent being passed down to the children. Good on you Gurl!

What you said Joanne about the kids learning,i think we may have to go back to that way of livin.I grew up country and ended up living in a subdivision in the city,i feel very cramped these days.We bought a new home, never do that again!Thats why i enjoy seeing the things you folks do,i am short on patience in that regards,i really admire you guys that knit, tan, and make things.Keep up the good ways..Thumbs up to all of you!

I lived in a suburb in a newer home in the city in another country even. I left it and my husband and made a new life in the country. Everything has a price to it, seems, that's for sure. Never looked back. There are advantages to city life but I can't handle looking at people EVERYWHERE. I love NOT seeing people everywhere. There's definately a price to THAT.. but who knows..I do travel to bargain shop and to make ends meet so that adds up to an enormous figure right there! I made homemade venison and chicken pot pies last night.. I was the only one to have any venison pot pie. They will eat venison tenderloin.. go figure, huh? What's for supper, mom? "Deer meat!!" They put a funny twist to the Deer like, red neck or hillbilly slang!

Oh lord oh mighty, homemade venison pot pies, steaming on a snowy day~~~What i would do to hang a lip over some of that!!
That would go great with the handmade shtolen marzipan bread we get here.Drizzled in butter and honey...WE get a loaf every year from Riemers candy up in the hills.
You'll have to send me a recipe fer that Joanne.

Another good thing about knitting is that you can use the craft to hypnotize small children aside from making useful things.. like socks, mittens, in my case, dishrags! Very handy.. I think our little grandson has the capability to be a super speedy knitter some day.. those little arms are moving so fast.. the lens can't catch him! mmmm shtolen.. that name kinda rings a bell...
