Beaudro,I carve soapstone & when I'm done carving I put it in the oven for 20-30 min,then melt beeswax into it,let it cool then rub with soft cloth,then I polish it with linseed oil.2feathers Attachments:

Whitdove,It took a long while & lots of throw aways but I am getting better with the carving since I got a Dremel tool,lot of different heads to use & for the finishing I take the wooden skewers you use in bbq's & just glue different grades of sandpaper on the skewer.Like to get hold of some pipestone can't find it anywhere over here.2feathers.
