James, I'm interested in how you made the with the beads and deer toes? I have a bunch (100s) of deer toes and dew claws and haven't had time to figure out what to make with them. thanks for your help! Dave

James where do you find silver solder and how do you apply it like that? Cody - it's plain old tin plumbers solder with a bit of silver in it. Sold at most stores as Silver Bearing Non-Lead Plumber's solder in 1 b rolls. It's used as a substitute for pewter (which is mostly tin) - here's a tutorial courtesy of W Ben Hunt www.wrtcleather.com/1-ckd/tutorials/_pewter.htmlrub the whole are you are casting onto with a soft pencil lead - it helps the flow.... James good looking knife - a hint for cleaning up along the blade. Get you a good straight sided triangle file - grind off one side to use as a "safe" side - it will undercut the edge slightly. Also when I have some of those thin "tags" left after filing I use a good sharp thin bladed but stiff knife to trim them away. On teh back edge you can even up you pewter by using a riffler file - it leaves a fine groove but IMO that just enhances the look.....
