Beaudro asked me to make him a french trade knife.I did some new things. Did the metal bolster and worked with bone. The bone was bad. and getting the metal bolster was a chore to get the them flat and look nice. The Blade is 1095 Bolster is iron from great grandpatents farm. Handle is Cow bone. the bolster is pinned with welding rods. The pins in the bone is welding rog.The finish is tru-oil then minwax paste wax . over I rubbed it tell it was hot then let it cool then another coat till it felt smooth in the hand.
