Because I started braintanning I somehow lost my touch to do alumn tanning. I found my touch again! I did use some extra braintanning tecniques for example wringing the hide four times and putting it back into the alumn-mix. It helped a lot! I also softened the well saturated skin in the frame I used grated soap, boiled in water mixed with equal amounts of sheep fat as the emulsified oil. I am convinsed that this leather will be exellent for moccs. As you can see on the first photo we dropped some water on the skin and it didn't penetrate. On the second photo we have draped it over someone to show the flexibility.
