1095 steel wrought iron guards handle is rosewood and maple with a mammoth ivory lozenge bleach etched for patina vegtan hand stitched sheathed just went to customer today OAL around 13 inches blades about 9 inch

coat the blade in gun blueing, let it dry, place it in a container of bleach. when its all fuzzy with what is basically rust ( its a oxidizing etch) pull it out, wipe it off with a rag, wash it completely with hot water and soap, then wet sand it. voila bleach etch. kudos to Chuck Barrows for sharing this technique with all the bladesmiths.
