Welcome to all yall folks and thanks for stopping by. This here message board is the brainchild of Buckskin Billy and myself. We got tired of lookin all over the web for good pictures of these processes so we figured on just doing it ourselves. Our aim is to log our projects with descriptions and pictures as good as we can. So feel free to post your projects and how you do them. Hopefully we can all help each other out.
Enjoy yer stay, Grizz

Howdy!
I just wanted to thank Grizzly McCoy for signing up over at MMF, & wanted to come check out what y'all have got going here. :-) I really appreciate you stopping by & taking the time to set up an account, Grizzly.
I also appreciate the craft boards that you have set up here. That's been more of my thing than hunting & fishing for the past few years. I'll tell you what I'd LIKE to get into -- if I had the time -- and that's flint knapping. I wouldn't have a clue as to how to get started, though -- hmm... that may be something to pursue later this year.
I used to do quite a bit of woodcarving... everything from carving toothpicks with razor blades to tree stumps with chainsaws (haven't done much of any carving lately, though). Heck, I've even carved a couple of taters with a paring knife -- when they dry out, they get hard as a rock & all wrinkled & warped. Not really good for much, but fun as all get out to see what they turn into. ;-)
As for other crafts, I've made a right smart of lye soap, & may start that back up in the near future.
Anyway, I'm glad you found us at MMF, Grizzly, & I look forward to hanging out with you guys here some, as I have the time.
:-) Jam
PS... If you need to get in touch with me, don't use the e-mail that I registered with. I rarely check that account, & mostly just use it for registering & stuff. The quickest way is to get me is to drop a PM on MMF. There's a link in my profile, & I stuck another one in my sig here. :-)

Well hey there Grizz.. thanks for the nice welcome.. let me set YOU straight right now...you can forget about me keeping the guys straight cause I just ain't that kind of gal. I'm much more likely to corrupt ya so better watch your six? J/K.. I just probably like to break all the rules and see what happens. Just seem to learn a lot by making mistakes. Sometime learn a lot more by making them!

Hey Grizzly, Just popping in here to check things out, really like the site, love the background image. I see that Jam made his way over already, I Just wanted to stop by and thank you for making an account over our way, between us we have a lot of ground covered, maybe we might spark some interest and get a few newcomers to our crowd.....not many Mountainy Men types left out there nowadays. I don't hunt much anymore, our area isn't the greatest, I used to hunt everyday, but now I am into all kinds of stuff including animals, crafts, you name it and I am pretty much into it. I raise coon hounds and rabbit dogs.....plus a lot of other stuff and am just a downright pure bonified redneck. LOL Ditto to Jam, glad that you found us and hope you have a fun stay with us and I'll be sure to bounce over here as time permits, I have a lot going on right now, especially with work, they seem to think I am the energizer bunny and that I can just keep going and going. With all the other stuff and some health issues, I get wore down quick. Thanks again and I look forward to many days of just lounging around the boards and learning lots of new activities to try out.
