I made this bow for my son, he liked his compound bow better.

Nice you made this bow for your son, Chuck. Mine would have liked it. Their father is not a hunter and so any would work for them. Every year they are devising new bows and arrows on their own.

Bless your heart. I made one outa oak for my oldest son when he was eight. He loved it till he started playing with my 50 lb compound bow (My childhood bow) One day I asked him "could you make one if you got lost?" Daniel IMMEDIATELY went back to his oak bow, and stayed with it.

chuck, what wood did you use for the bow? looks like a strong one to draw for your son.,

The bow is made out of hickory, and yes he has trouble pulling it but I fugure he'll get stronger in time. Anyway he really likes it. I just finished a long bow and he likes shooting it also. I will try to post pics of it in the next few days or so.
