I was given several elk and buffalo jaw bones a while back and thought Id fancy them up a bit. I had red and yellow earth paints that I painted them with, tacks to dress them up a bit, buffalo hide that used for the wrist straps with sheared hair on the inside to protect the wrist and the whole thing covered with a good layer of hide glue to seal in the earth paints and protect the rawhide wraped areas.

In the group shot, the one on the left, the smaller one is elk, the rest are buffalo. they were lots of fun to make. bgp
