I will be usin my old 12 gauge pump. I have used it for years for all kinds of huntin from rabbit, treerat dove, turkey and varmits. You would think I would be a better shot with it than I am. Seem like most I ever hit is air. I am excellent at shootin air.

I wanna get a new fan and beard and possibly a set of nice spurs. Plus a turkey or two in the freezer would be nice too. Gonna give it my best. I`ve also got a draw hunt with some buddies April 16/17.

The TWRA started a restoration program a couple of years ago. It took hold. Plus land owners are tolerant and try to help the flocks.

spent Saturday and Sunday huntin and callin them birds. Never saw a one. Did hear some hens and two toms. Weren`t where we had seen them before. i did jump up 3 deer that were bedded.
didn`t hunt today. Weather movin in with high winds and storms following. Gonna wait for these fronts to move on out and try again.
Cody we have a few varmits around here too but them ol momma hens is smart and know how to protect the aigs and raise a brood. Weather such as floods hit the birds harder than varmits.
