Here are pics of my mother's barn loom. It is so big that I cannot get far enough away to get a pic of the whole thing. She has been weaving for about 5yrs. However, warping up the loom has gotten hard for her. So I helped her put a spool rack behind her loom that lets her weave right off the spools and not have to warp the loom every few rugs. Here is a pic of our first buck goat that was born this yr. It was a clear cold night. Three days later we were dumped on like this. That was the day these twin doe kids were born. So we thoroughly enjoyed our warm house that night, and lit a candle to enjoy. paweaver

It's good ta hear from y'all, I love that punched tin lamp. That weavin thingy looks like one of those magic devices ya'd see in a wizards tower. I'm more comfortable with the ring of my anvil, but I gotta tip my head band to those what can whup one of those machines inta makin a bit of cloth. Glad y'all are doin well, and I guess it'd be mean to say it's green and hot here (wink) One of those goat kids look just like one of ours, I'll have to dig up a pic... his name is Pogo (boingedy boing boing)

Came home from taking our daughter somewhere the other day and notice these new "additions" in the pasture as I parked. She had them mostly dry when it started to rain buckets, so I helped by moving them to shelter for her. For awhile I thought that I might have to supply them with life jackets. ;D Because are puddles were turning into lakes. One more goat to kid and then it will be our sheep's turn. Phoenix, I'm sure that most people could understand that " magic devices ya'd see in a wizards tower." if you had it explained to you. It is complex yet very simple. Maybe when I get time I'll do a explaining thread. Yes, I love my tin light too. It is one that my father made me. I got a really cool tin gift for Christmas this yr too. I'll have to take a pic of it sometime. WhiteDove, I'm so glad that you enjoyed the pics. Hoping and praying that you are finding work. The kind that pays of course. It easy to find the other kind of work with no pay. paweaver

we had 5 kids total,(4 boys and a girl) and the girl enjoys Riding her mother. It's funny to see this long legged kid standing tall and proud on top of a mother that looks a bit annoyed. I made them a seesaw and a balance beam to play on... the adults seem to enjoy them as much as the little ones do. I've been concentrating lately on scrounging the stiff needed for the shop, so I can finish up the knives I owe everyone. Wifey and I always enjoy reading your posts, as you are doing much the same things we are, and we kinda get to compare notes. Wifey does the punched tin stuff (with just a nail and a hammer).
