This one i started out with 1080 forged the blade first aiming for the 3 in mark cutting edge, There file work choil are for you can chock up on the blade. The guard and butt cap is mild steel. The finger guard I blue with gun blue. Then heated it up and coated it with wd-40 to make it darker. Then a coat of paste wax. Let it cool and polish with a cloth. the antler of a piece of elk antle tin that was a cream color. So i have some home made walnut stain . I let the antler soak in for about a week. Then take a propane touch heat the antler and sumberge back in the dye.twice then it dry over night. Blade it a peened of tang. and the finish on the antler is tru oil.It also has a file work thumb pad on the spine.
