WIth some bad pics I try to get some better one Saturday . I was going for a Ranger bowie knife,The first time around I had a wrought iron guard and deer antler handle. The problem for was that the wrought iron and pattern blade looked to busy togeither. and the antler i choosen did not work out for the handle. So with the help of of a hammer I busted it off and put it up on the shelf for reat of the summer.Last month I started on the brass guard shapeing it and fitting the slot for the tang.then the every some fun of sanding the brass. For the handle I went with three black spacer,The wood handle it Bubinga the pin is a steel rod peened over. The finish is two coats of tru oil. Then a couple coats of wood stock finish. The blade was etched in vinger then polish with 2000 grit sand paper. The steel is 52100 and 15n20 , I think it the reason for the pattern not jumping out .
