Wow richly dark color on that dress P.A. Your Nora is a little doll. I always wanted to learn to make those kind of rugs and never have.. way cool pic. Thanks for sharing. I will look forward to more of the same. Nice to have your presence Loren! We need your wife here however.. I'm starting to feel a little outnumbered here! Hey your wife is a deer hunter like Griz' sister.. we have common ground! Get her to join up! and do a intro too maybe! She might have recipes, too!

This is our youngest in his braintan. He loves to wear his. He'll come to me and say Mom let's wear our braintan pants today. The braintan is worn more in the warmer weather because they do not like having to put a shirt or a layer between them and the buckskin. Loren's leather is just so soft against your skin that they hate that extra layer. The first thing I made myself out of braintan was knee length pants. I had two hides. I wrapped one around each leg and cut a couch in,sewed the two together, and than laced them up the outside of the leg. Fringed the extra, and put in a draw string. Probably not authentic, but boy, are they comfortable. I wear them often. In fact I had them on one day this summer. We had some good friends coming over. You know the kind that accept you for what you are. I just never changed out of them. We were having a good time and it was just getting later and later. Trev got cold and Loren grapped up his braintan pants and threw them on over his shorts that he was wearing. A little bit later a very tired Trev fell off the bench and split his eyelid open on a milkcan that we use for a stool. I grabbed him up, grabbed a bottle of water and my project bag that is always ready to go and headed out to the hospital. He was so tired that he feel asleep on the way there. I gathered him up in my arms and started in the emergancy enterence. Bright Lights! I look down at what we are wearing and hestitated, took a deep breath and kept going. I was wondering what those people in there were going to think when they saw both my son and me in braintan??? Staked out a corner and worked on that little basket that I posted on here. When it was our turn to see the doc was I in for a relief. The doc on call was our own doctor's wife! She just smiled and took care of my boy. Course they wanted us to come back in a week later to take out them there stitches.... A week before I just took a whole bunch of stitches out of our dog so I was in good practice.. Tell you what, that boy of ours just layed right still and let me pull them stitches out! trevor's eye Don't have any good pics of my pants. Here is the best one. Loren and I are overlooking Fort Niagara.
