I don't have my filly any longer.. although cute and bright.. she had major problems with her front legs and well front legs on a horse are everything. So.. six more months and I'll be welcoming home a palomino colt. Need to get out to the farm and see him again soon, going to be turning rather chilly here in the near future. Always takes me some getting used to. Sure love this little guy. Kids are growing up way too fast, but this one should be around for a long while to come, hopefully!

Looking fwd to getting my foal some day in Feb! or early March.. It can be pretty brutal around here that time of year.. so best to wait until the worst of the winter is over! So I go visit with 'Pistol' as often as I can. I'm going to look up your sister in laws horse after I leave here, Rick, thanks.. should be cool so see the roany red! I had to put our black mare's foal down at 3 weeks. Had carpus vulgas bad.. and I surely couldn't afford the surgery and all the aftercare to TRY to get it's front legs right so I did what I had to and that was just totally the worst thing I have EVER had to do.. I guess I am strong to be able to do that but truly.. it sucked BIG time! He's trying to 'hide' in this shot! So far all we can pet or scratch is his rump and back.. my daughter can pull on his tail too.. someone told me that they thought he was a blonde paint palomino. He's got hazel eyes like his black daddy, Bo.

Looks awesome for what I can see Rick.. no pics of him on there other than the one under his name! So I really wished I could see more of him! From what I can tell he's trained VERY WELL! just our daughter aound here doing the training and she doesn't know enough.. she's 13 and has been 'training' Pistols full sibling, Dreamer..see? She's just walking around with Helena on her back.. (just turned 2 this past month) and well you can tell she's not sure about having that bit in her mouth! I took about a half dozen picts and her mouth is open like that in every picture, lol.. "Dreamer is a light buckskin with a snowcap mane and tale.. I couldn't resist having her as our own.. She hasn't thought about tossing her rider..just wants the attention like the other two mares here. One of the mares was born in CA.. out in Temula or something like that.. Close to Santa Anita, pretty sure.. that is our oldest daughter's old racehorse mare. Retired but still has some spunk.. she's 16, tall and you can hear her poor bones creaking! Poor thing.. Mi sucks and for her to have to retire here, just ain't right, Rick. Sad how the old thoroughbreds get discarded.. oh well such is life, eh?
