I ran into a guy down in southern oklahoma that made that, it's a turtle tail, it must be a big one, he caught it out of some small river near Kiamichi . Looks like osage for the wood, I have no idea how he cleaned and dried it to get that shape, he did a good job on it.

Wow I rmember as a kid on the Kiamichi seeing turtles that size (I grew up in southeast OK in Lane). I remember going with my dad to check trot lines and him catching one upwards of 80 pounds. He would stick it in the neck with his knife and cut it loose (I alwaysthought it was a waste) Bob

That just happens to be where that turtle came from, The guy runs a rendezvous club not far from Antlers Oklahoma in the cedar hills,, it's a small rendezvous with hog hunting and some fishing. I'm bad with names or I could recall a few of those guys. I do recall them not having much room for campers as they are squeezed in around cedar trees. I pitched my tent around a handy little tree stump, my first coffee table inside the tent, haha.
