I almost put this in the joke section, but decided to stick it here instead.
As anywhere, the Texicans are the life of the party at rendezvous, at least the ones I have been to. If they aren't playing jokes on one another, they are playing them on any victim they can find. ;D
One year, while camping on the banks of Henry's Fork of the Green River in wyoming, those Texicans decided they would build a fish trap. So a couple of them set out, designed and worked several hours constructing a pretty nice fish trap that was secured in the river, and that was checked several times a day. But day after day, not a fish was to be found in their trap. Day after day you could see thier disappointment. Everyone kept giving them words of encouragement. And the trap was faithfully checked.
One lazy, quiet afternoon, the silence was broken by one of the Texicans, who could be heard down by the river, screaming
" A FEESH, I done caught a FEESH in my trap!!!!!!!.
Of course everyone was excited for him and many folks went to the bank of the river to see the fish that the Texicans had finally succeeded in trapping.
The Texican was jumping up and down and flailing his arms around, happier as all get out, that his trap had served its purpose well. "i knew I'd catch me one sooner or later" he boasted loudly.
Sure enough, there was a very large, healthy looking fish in his trap. He was over come with pride and excitement. Retreiving the fish, he carried the heavy thing back to camp and with a crowd of people gathered around him in admiration, he began to clean it in preparation of cooking for supper.
As he gutted the large fish, and was pulling out the innards, along toward the back end of the innards, there appeared to be something in the fish's extreme lower intestine, something large and hard. A big turd? No................
A discussion soon arose as to what the item could actually be. It turned out to be some sort of piece of wood. Upon cleaning the item and and by further inspection it was found to be some sort of wooden plug , What was even more amazing was that the wooden plug seemed to have some sort of inscription on it. The Tecacan strained to decypher what the scratches said...........
The redfaced Texican read the inscription on said fish ass- plug. It read, North West Brigade. ;D ;D
The joke was on the Texicans that time!!!!!!!! The camp just fell apart with roaring laughter!
Turns out there was a fish hatchery between rendezvous site and town. One of the NWB guys had purchased the fish, carved and inscribed the plug, placed it in the fish's butt , and snuck the fish into the trap when no one was looking.
The fish was cooked and eaten by who ever wanted any and good times were had by all.
We never let those Texas boys live that one down!!!!!
Shinnin Times!!! Waugh!!
