Before and after the pressure washer treatment. I have a hard time fleshing these skins by hand. Not so with the washer and turbo nozzle. come spring I'm going to use some rawhide strips to put it in a willow frame to hang on the wall.

What size washer did you get and you MUST use a turbo nozzle to clean the skins right or they just won't show you at all what they are capable of doing. The turbo nozzles aren't real inexpensive either but worth every penny IME. I had pretty good luck with my 2400 on the coyotes.. the 1650 took a while to do them but was a lot gentler.. if there is a hole on a leg or something you can make them bigger.. but cleaning burrs and sh*t out of the hair really rocks. I only lost hair on one coyote last year due to the washer BUT some guy brought that one over and I'm really not sure about how long it'd been dead so one yote out of like 22 to lose hair on is good numbers to me.. I'm pretty sure I used the 2400 psi on all these coyote skins I skinned last year.. wished I'd have gotten them all tanned but I didn't but anyway the guys are starting to bring those to me again this year. I haven't finished softening the beaver.. I'm working on a hair on deerskin today.. don't usually but some guy was showing some interest in having one like this one that I made the jerky out of.. the roadkilled one.. guess for ceremonial purposes roadkilled ones are better and this one's got the head ears, legs and tail on it..so it's coming along. There isn't enough time in a day.. there really isn't. LOL

Well I messed up with this beaver's skin, Chuck.. wasn't diligent enough in caring for it.. too bad. once you slip any hair on them they're done... Dunno what I was thinkin' well I wasn't! well anyway long as I don't do that with someone else's stuff guess I'm ok.. wonder if anyone makes beaver buckskin? guess this beaver's skin IS still good for that.. maybe.. might be interesting to find out.. would beat beaver rawhide.. I got so many projects goin! anyway the bear are currently on the go.

I dont understand how does fur get to slip in that cold ? I used to stretch my furs years ago but there is just too many warm days happen any more.First I would save it back and when I was going to have a cold week I would dry some but then it would get warm and loose some so now with poor fur prices I dont try to catch too much and tan everything for me and sell some at the .vous .Now instead of catching what is in demand I catch what I want (few coons here yote there Cats and beaver all the time.
