Yes thats it,can you explain that to me where even i can understand? Lets see...From Louisiana... You...Can...Etch...it...in...Nitric...Acid....Or...Use...Vinegar...to...get...a...patina. Sorry Cody; I'm just funnin' with ya, and couldnt resist that opportunity. I've put a patina on a blade with white vinegar. It works pretty well Bob

Cody, I acheive my "antique" finish by using a combination of bleach and vinegar, about 2/3rds bleach to 1/3rd vinegar, and to speed things along I will usually give the piece a quick dip in ferric cloride. I usually do about 2 or 3 15 minute cycles, cleaning with a scotch brite pad in between cycles, or do it until you reach the level of finish and surface texture you are looking for. This is merely an accelerated aging process, and the longer you leave it, the more it will "age". If you look at the folder I have posted in the Blades section, you will get an idea of how this finish works. Any of the above mentioned methods will work, this one just works best for me! I hope this helps, and feel free to ask if you have more questions.
