thought i might share a how to on loading the colt navy. some may not have a clue and some may be a pro at it, and the rest might not care. but this is how i spend a great deal of my time. heres all the stuff you need to load any cap and ball revolver of course you'll need a gun, a flask full of black powder(real black powder) round balls, wads and caps here i'm putting 20 grains of 3f goex black powder in the cylinder now i'm placeing a pre lubed wonder wad over powder charge.it's purpose is to keep fouling soft and prevent chain fireing of multipile cylinders. the traditional way is to use grease on top of bullet to seal the cylinder, i went to this cuz it's easier than grease, and seems to help my accuracy now you place the bullet over charged cylinder rotate cylinder until bullet is under loading lever and force bullet into cylinder. the bullet is over sized and should be made from soft lead next you seat a cap firmly on nipple you now have one chamber on your cylinder loaded. if a six shooter repeat these same steps 5 more times.i'll hold off the injuns while you reload ;D here is the loaded gun front and rear

yep cooner. i was a member of sass until this year. let my membership expire cuz i can't afford to do everything i use to do with the cost of every thing going up . i still go to the shoots and love it. i posted some pictures of me and a friend at a cowboy shoot a few weekend ago under the picture section. we don't have a ncows down here. wish we did they are more into what i like doing than sass, but its all fun
