This is probably one of the best research materials I have ever used specifically on the mountain man of the rockies. Click on Search tools , then type in whatever you are looking for such as axe, saddle, tent, pot, fork, missouri, brains, ANYTHING in question that you might be interested in. Try to be a little creative in wording some of your search keywords, the spelling may be a little different in some areas due to the way the lanquage and terms that the fur trappers used. These journals and narratives have been put together by the American Mountain Man group, you'll find rubber shoes, beads, hats, just about any information you could ever need for documentation on mountain men. www.xmission.com/~drudy/amm.htmlAfter you get to your page here's a little tip. Go to edit on your browser, click on "find on this page" , type in your search word and it'll take you right through the page and skip everything else in the journals. Hope this helps.

Also, their publication Tomahawk&Longrifle is very interesting. You can subscribe to it without having to be a member of Amm. I think any of you who are interested in the Fur Trade Re-enactments would enjoy it. Beaudro ought to have a contact address, all my Tomahawk&Longrifle mags are in storage so can't give you the info myself.
