National Geographic's guide to the Lewis and Clark Trail by Thomas Schmidt
Great little paper back guide put out by a first class outfit. It covers the route taken with excerpt from the journals on each entry. It tells what happened and where and the local state and National Parks nearby. It is a handy pocket reference for the traveler. It has all the major sites that are accessed by road, excursions on foot and boat , as well as a lot of glossy photos and maps. Worthwhile investment for those following the trail. Jon

Leave it to NatGeo to do a first class job. The road we take to Lewistown.. is part of the Lewis and Clark trail. We pass throught the Judith mountains named after one of their wives. Cant recall right now who was married and who wasn't. I will watch for that book or maybe even get it from the library first. Thanks. I have always wondered why some game maker hasn't made one of the Lewis & Clark journey. LIke AOI. Start them in St. Louis buying goods, and follow them to the Pacific at least. I'd buy it.
