Finally got this one done. Had it all stitched up and laced on the outside and decided to undo it all and sew it inside out in a 10 stitches to an inch running stitch instead. Looked okay the first time but I dunno.. just decided it could look better the other way.. then the pocket flap I beaded with just too many of the cranberry colored beads and decided that it took something 'away' from the leafs an flowers.. lol.. so took those out and started over again.

Nice work Joanne! One of these days when I get a little more caught up with my tanning, I need to make some more stuff and start learning how to bead. I did get a power washer, but I haven't even had time to take it out of the box. I am done teaching school on June 8th, then I can get to some serious tanning again! Keep posting your pics and videos!! Dave

Thanks Dave. I was asking a friend about the seams and he told me that if I'd put in a welt and kinda hammered the seams flat.. it works out a bit better..to press them more open. That's what I'll do on the next one. I'm blessed with a lot of kids around too Dave! Just keeping them in school really seems to distract me from doing some serious tanning too.. I get worn out before they get on the bus in the morning! Every Monday morning the place usually is TRASHED! So there goes my workweek tanning. I understand your anticipation about working on the skins for sure! Glad to know you liked my pics n videos. Thanks I don't really know why I'm getting the that's not allowed error messages on the videos I'm trying to save in the photobucket thing.. What kind of washer did you get? Paulette

Modus Operandi? hahaha.. that sounds like a better way of saying method to my madness!..hehehe.. anyway this one I kinda fashioned after seeing your paint on rawhide print.. was very nice and inspiring.. you made the leaf pattern look nice and easy.. still I had my son draw the pattern on and he gets a big kick out of me allowing him the special privilege of drawing on my most precious braintan buckskin, don't ya know!.. lol.. anyway this bag started out looking bit different than the outcome.. I didn't like it so much after I'd laced it together so redid it..
