Had a question about this and I just don't know, never done it other than sanding a surface stain on a white hide. Washing is out, anyone drycleaned buckskin? This is for clothing with a lot of fringe, so if they did choose to wash just the dirty areas, it would require a lot of hand pulling to get all that fringe soft again and I doubt it would be as nice as it orinally was. Longtrail or anyone have any experiance cleaning white hide?

All I have seen used is white chalk. What sort of stain is it? I think I'd try one of those Mr. Clean magic sponges. Seriously. It is amazing what those remove. I've never heard of anyone dry cleaning brain tan. Isn't dry cleaning done with some sort of solvent rather than water? Seems I read that somewhere. I'v sanded before but with not much success. Seemed to only force what ever it was farther into the hide. thats all I can tell ya . Dlt
