Thanks Cody. They are passed thru the stiches while it was being sewed, then knotted so they would"nt pull out.

Thanks Lt and redthunder. I made the wheel myself redthunder. I cut the base from deer rawhide and did the quill wrapping. I'm to cheap to buy ready made wheels, plus I like to do as much as possible myself, although wheel wrapping is a bit of a PITA!
