lt and rt, sory i do not know the botanical name for the grass that was used for the coaster.it ihas a very thin fine stem. therse are bundeled together and then platted into a three srand plait as in a young girls hair. it then gets roled into the size required. i can remember my grandfather had mats{small carpets }by our bedsides when we visited him on his farm in the year 1960. i told rt in a pm , that this young girl could not believe that it was sent overseas, and the photo was taken there and then put on the internet. i can not believe, but as true as nuts it only took 4 days from S.A to rt
