Looks like fun to me!!!! Shooting flinters in NW Oregon was a challenge too. I did not get to see it, but I heard about a gun a guy had once, called a Mannington or Manning, or something to that effect. It was an elaborately crafted, antique, flint lock, double barrell if memory serves me correctly, with actual rain gutters of sort to keep water away from the lock and pan. Anyone ever heard of that sort of flinter? Thanks for sharing the shooting photos!!! Great stuff!!! The pines are nice too. also the shop. You Rebel boys really have it made in the shade far as fun goes anyway! Aint too much shade anywhere anymore.

i aint never heard of no rain gutters on a flinter dlt, but i'm sure some one smarter than me has figured one out. i've heard of oldtimers melting beeswax around the pan of a flintlock to seal it from moisture. i've never tried it though. one day i hope to have a good flint lock with the way these timber companies keep cutting everything lousiana is gonna be considered a prairie soon
it would have been just a sin for me and cody to get together and not shoot at something. it sure was a shining time
