i have never used one for myself. but a friend of my dad has one thats a .308 and a .22 over and under, and loves the gun. i've held the gun and it was well made. kind of short but should be a good gun for a child or a woman hunter. my dads friend is probadly 5 foot 8 inches tall and it being a small gun never gave him a bit of trouble. i know that rossi makes a good product

I was looking at one of those a few weeks ago. Looks like a nice deal. I always liked the savage 24, but they are to expensive now. I ended up buying a 28g barrel for my T/C instead. I think it would be a great first one, as you can go with different caliber later on. Just my 2 cents, Jon

I used to always want one of those savage overunders when I was a kid and have sure seen times when the other caliber would have been handy
