I tried something different today. Instead of makeing my roux the same old way I made it without using cooking oil. I used a skillet like I always do. Just have to keep a close eye on it. I do believe I like the out come better than when I use cooking oil. It is also better for you. I made a big chicken and sausage gumbo man was it good! chuck

Save some, I'll be over for lunch!!! gumbo sounds good! Montana cooking has to be about the most bland cooking I have ever tasted. I miss the foods of the south. lt
