yep, i took the girls shootin today. my 36 &44 cal. ball& cap revolvers.
Went trout fishin this mornin in the clinch below Norris dam until they started generatin. cought and released several rainbows. left there and went to my cuzins who lives about 15 min. away from river. Got tickled at my cuzin. He took a classic police stance. legs spaced, arms extended, both hands on revolver. Wish y`all could have seen the look on his face when he fired that first shot. He thought that 44 would kick like his mag. Neither pistol kicked harder than a 22. Flipped him out when I fired five shots from the hip and placed all five shots. He got the hang of them real quick and proceeded to give me a lesson in shootin an marksmanship. Put a East Tenn dawg whoopin on me.
Waz standin on the back porch gettin ready to leave an loked up in the woods when we heard a ruckus. couple of turkeys tearin up jack. Started down the drive and had to stop fer two doe that were visitin wiff the goats. Went couple of car lengts and had to stop fer a family of rabbits. made it to the road and started across the bridge over the creek and had to stop fer a familky mallard. Well momma and the brood. Don,t know wher poppas a hidin.
Had a great time.

sounds like a great time was had. i like to watch people when they shoot a cap and ball for the first time. it's loud and alot of smoke and fire and you'll ruin a white T shirt, but there aint no recoil at all. unless it's a walker colt with 50 grains of powder. but even that aint to bad.
sounds like you should have kept them colts loaded and went hunting. you could have had enough fresh game meat fer a weeks worth of fine eting
