Phoenix , Are lawn mower blades any good for knifes or anything else?

Cody, most mower blades make nice knives. Here's how ya tell if a mower blade is good steel. Take a propane torch (one of those $12 dollar wall-mart specials will work) and heat a corner till its bright red. Dunk the heated edge in water till it cools, lay that corner over the edge of something hard, and whack it with a hammer. If it's good steel, it'll snap off rather than bend. Could be teak wood or rose wood hard to tell but I found some that looks just like it.

Thanks Cody, i'm thinking teak or brasilian rosewood. The pallet it came from was from Brasil.
