this is the first anything i made with braintan.i got the pattern from a muzzleloader mag article by rex allen norman.anything by him is worth reading.the mocs turned out ok for my first time.i used the hide from a young doe so they are a little thin

Least ya cut that skin up and made something with it.. good for you. Like lightly smoked skins too, huh? Never seen a pattern from that guy before. You see any of the buckskinners books? Wish I had them all but only have #II

them mocs been wet quite a few times while trying to trap. rex allen norman writes for muzzleloader mag. he also has a schetch book called the 1837 rendezvous.i got it from dixie gun works for about $5.00. i got the book of buckskinning #II also its a good one

well, I'm not sure of the story behind them. I got this pic from a museum,, if they could talk i'm sure they would have some story to tell. I know my own mocs won't last me the summer, but it just depends on how you use them. I'm guessing you either got real good at making them, or you went barefoot often.
