Thats a good read LT, I don't think there is any document in the fur trade history that can leave out the buffalo.

Interesting article and very informative.
In my area we have a large herd of American Bison. They are protected but from time to time there are a few of the olders killed and issued out to those of us who savor the taste of Buffalo.
I for one Jump when I learn there is going to be a kill.

I'll do that Caretaker. Most time it's in the fall.
I might be able to round you up some buffalo locally. Over in Perry County. Seems I recall a store there carries buffalo.
Over yonder at Paris Landing they serve buffalo on their buffet every weekend.
